The Plan

The original plan to build a high quality collector's scale model was born in 1979. At that time the only existing AUTO UNION Type D was on exhibit at Schroeder & Weise book and Automobilia shop in Hannover, Germany.

There are two important considerations in building a large scale model: First is obtaining precise measurements. Second is finding an artist to produce the model.

The first series of FINE ART AUTO UNION 1:10 came to an unexpected stop due to the sudden death of Carlo Brianzas 1986. 15 years later, Martin Schroeder proudly presents his new project

Included with the model will be a certificate of origin, a showcase and a booklet

The first of the AUTO UNION 1:8 series will be the Bernd Rosemeyer 1936 Nürburgring German Grand Prix winning Type C.
